Duplicating a guide
Duplicating a guide copies its structure and content into a new draft, so you don't have to start from scratch.
How to duplicate
- Go to your Guides list
- Find the guide you want to duplicate
- Click the three-dot menu next to the guide
- Select Duplicate
A new guide is created as a copy, including all sections, steps, and their content. The duplicate starts as a Draft regardless of whether the original was published.
What gets copied
- All sections and their order
- All steps, including content, type, and settings
- Step properties like call-to-action labels and URLs
- Media references (the duplicate points to the same media assets — it doesn't create copies of images or videos)
What doesn't get copied
- Enrollments — the duplicate starts with no contacts enrolled
- Version history — it starts fresh with no published versions
- Published status — duplicates always start as drafts
- Guide name — the duplicate is named "Copy of [original name]." Rename it right away to avoid confusion.
When to duplicate
- You're creating a guide for a different audience but with a similar structure
- You want to experiment with a major restructure without touching the original guide
- You have a template guide that you use as a starting point for new projects
Next steps
Now that you have your guide, add contacts to enroll in it.
