Enrolling contacts in guides

When you enroll a contact in a guide, they get access to its content and you can track their progress.

How to enroll a contact

There are several ways to enroll contacts:

From the enrollments page

  1. Go to Enrollments in the sidebar (or from a guide's enrollments tab)
  2. Click Enroll Contact
  3. Select the contact and the guide
  4. Click Enroll

From a contact's detail page

  1. Open a contact's profile
  2. You'll see their current enrollments
  3. Click Enroll in Guide
  4. Select the guide and click Enroll

Bulk enrollment

  1. Go to Contacts and select multiple contacts using the checkboxes
  2. Choose Enroll from the bulk actions menu
  3. Select the guide and confirm

You can also bulk-enroll all contacts from an organization using the organization's detail page.

What happens when you enroll someone

When a contact is enrolled:

  1. An enrollment record is created with status Invited
  2. If the contact has an email address, they receive an enrollment email with a link to their guide
  3. The enrollment captures the current published version of the guide
  4. When the contact opens the guide and interacts with their first step, the status changes to In Progress
  5. When all steps are marked complete, the status changes to Completed

Enrollment statuses

Status Meaning
Invited Contact has been enrolled but hasn't started yet
In Progress Contact has started but hasn't finished all steps
Completed Contact has completed every step in the guide

Viewing enrollments

The All Enrollments page shows every enrollment across all guides. You can filter by:

  • Guide — show enrollments for a specific guide
  • Status — show only invited, in progress, or completed enrollments

Each enrollment shows the contact's name, email, guide name, status, progress percentage, and enrollment date.

Unenrolling a contact

To remove a contact from a guide, open the enrollment, click the actions menu, and select Unenroll. This removes their access to the guide but preserves the enrollment record for historical reporting.
